Since 1962, the high-banked clay at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds has been the Northland's Friday-night home — from the Superior Speedway era to today's Douglas County Gondik Law Speedway.
Six WISSOTA classes battle weekly — Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods, Pure Stocks and Hornets — with marquee visits over the years from the World of Outlaws Late Models, XR Super Series, High Limit Racing, and the season-ending Northern Nationals, now approaching four decades of tradition.
